Bands
The Mission Statement is a simple one -
ROCK THE HOUSE!
The Swingin' Richards came about January 2001, opening for the late, great “Godfather of Soul”, “Soul Brother #1”, the one and only Mr. James Brown.
What’s this band about? GREAT MUSIC and a REAL GOOD TIME!
The Swinging Richards specialize in American Party Music - R&B, Soul, Funk, and Rock & Roll. This is the life-blood of the band. Why? "It’s fun to play, and with Steven Engler fronting the band, it’s what we do the best. Some of this music is about to be a forgotten art. I guess in a way we are preservationists of a lot of great American music. When I say American Party Music, it's Rhythm & Blues, Funk, Soul, and Rock & Roll, Jazz/Blues/Swing......... anything GROOVIN’! All of it has a common thread.
This is the real deal baby! If you find yourself checking these guys out, and a smile begins to grow on your face, your toe starts tapping, or your butt begins to shake a bit, then HALLELUJAH!
FUN!......You remembered didn’t you, and it didn’t hurt a bit!
