“Small Town Gone” deserves to establish Chris Cook as a remarkable vocalist and guitarist who takes a fresh approach to homespun sounds. Insofar as the pesky matter of genre is concerned, ‘I think I have no choice to but call “Small Town Gone” a country record,” Cook concedes with a laugh. “That’s where it’s going on the shelf. Still, I feel the record is as much Americana as it is country. To me, it’s kind of a mixture of country, folk and blues. It’s roots music.”
His private parties and solo gigs in restaurants and bars come with an eclectic mix of covers from legendary artists in the genre of Americana, Classic Rock, Country and Blues that any music lover would love to hear. Don’t miss the opportunity to have Chris Cook come play for your next event!
He can also step it up and bring his full 4 piece band when the event calls for it!

In 1982, Michael began his professional career playing keyboards with the band LONDON, who received national attention with their top 40 single “No I Do” and the seasonal hit “This Christmas”, both of which were co-written by Hoyle.
In 1988, Michael wrote the single “One Time Love Affair”, which just edged the Billboard Top 100. The single was not on any album, just pressed on vinyl and released as a 45, and is currently out of print, making it a rare piece sought after by collectors.
In 1999, Michael enjoyed success playing piano with country artist Sara Evans. Michael continued to play solo gigs as well in the Charlotte area. Michael has since been touring and playing on the road through out the southeast, at venues in Savannah, Augusta, Jacksonville, and along the Grand Strand. KISS and Jackson 5 were the soundtrack to my childhood. I grew up with a healthy dose of Singer/Songwriter, Country and Arena Rock music. Crazy combo, huh? I'm a musical mutt. I was a card carrying member of the Motley Crue fanclub at 8, as well a Hank Williams freak. I started playing in garage bands at 14 and have tried everything at one point. Rock, Shock Rock, I even played acoustic guitar and sang backup for a pop group (cough boyband cough) -- Tito would be proud.
I have always played acoustic music and a few years ago, decided to make that my main focus and pursuit of musical happiness. I've toured the world playing shows in Japan, Australia, U.K., Canada, and all over Europe. My music is best described as "Singer/Songwriter/Arena Rock/Drinking Music".
Rayen also has a duo and full band he can provide as well.
Dave Matthews & John Mayer are two of the more popular stars that I attempt to immulate.
It has been a blessing to be able to have such a nack for playing songs I loved to listen to as a little boy in the 70's on the AM stations in my parents Ford LTD. Not to mention get groups of people to say "hey, I haven't heard that song in..." or "you cover that well".
I've been blessed with an diverse musical repetuar that keeps my immediate audience on their toes. Neil Young, Marvin Gaye, Otis Redding, John Mayer to John Sebastian (the guy who wrote the theme song for "Welcome Back Kotter". I love not being categorized. When people ask, "What type of music do you play?" I just answer "Yes".
If you get a chance, come out and pat your feet while having dinner or a chat with friends and let me possibly play one of your favorites. Or just ask, I love the challenge... 'what doesn't kill you, will make you stronger' (I think).

BIO
One full listen to Lake Montonia Road , Scoot's latest release, and you realize pretty quickly that Scoot can do it all. He can write a mean folk song ("Grandpa's Shoes"), and can even play the blues ("Word on the Street"). He knows when to funk it up ("Fatback"), and you better believe this blue-eyed soulster knows when to serve up some of that Southern soul ("Lake Montonia Road") and gospel ("Laughin' at the Devil") from deep within.
Being the youngest of six, Scoot was raised on a steady diet of old 45's and vinyl records, in addition to the church music his "Mama" would play around the house. No matter what the music was he heard growing up, it seems to have soaked in.
There is no question that Scoot Pittman is a very talented guy. He has the ability to create the kind of music that forces you to either exercise your body and your mind. But more importantly, Scoot has the work ethic and drive to make it all happen.
The music he makes is timeless. You'd be hard-pressed to pin it down to any one time period. And yet while Scoot is able to create this timeless music, he is very capable of taking you on a journey in his lyrical time machine.
And if you love music, this is one journey that I highly recommend you take. Scoot has a full band for engagements as well!

Recently moving to Charlotte from Atlanta, Scott Walker has been playing the music scene in the South for nearly 10 years. Strongly influenced by the Grateful Dead and The Allman Brothers Band, Scott’s acoustic shows tend to reach far into the depths of exploration and music genres. “Basically I work the crowd with the type of setting I’m playing, I can play a whole show of country favorites, or jam things out with funky covers of Prince or the Doobie Brothers”, he says. After touring extensively during the late 1990’s, Scott prefers the more laid back, intimate acoustic shows. “Some of my favorite shows I play these days are the lake parties and afternoon fraternity parties. The crowds tend to be very friendly and I end up making new friends each time I play,” he says. Make sure you book Scott Walker for your next party and you’ll have one of the best acoustic shows the South has to offer.

The Sound…
More than 30 years of musical evolution incorporating an eclectic blend of influences have produced the precision and warmth that his guitar style now exudes. Perhaps the editors of “Charlotte’s Best” magazine summed it up most eloquently when they voted him “Best Local Acoustic” musician in July, 1994… “Tom Billotto plays brilliant guitar… [he] caresses many a song with sweet notes…” Tom’s sound is often described as “classy”…”tasteful”, and certainly his extensive musical training and influences are at the heart of these descriptions. His adept finger-style guitar technique (melody, rhythm and bass simultaneously) took flight during formal music studies in college, culminating in a degree in Classical Guitar. Profoundly influenced by guitar greats Chet Atkins, John Williams, Earl Klugh, Joe Pass, Andres Segovia, Guy Van Duser and Martin Taylor, and many other classical, jazz and finger-style virtuosi, it’s no wonder audiences and fellow performers have described Tom as a “musicians’ musician”. Based in Charlotte, North Carolina, Tom Billotto passionately pursues a full-time music career, averaging 250 performances per year in: restaurants; concerts; festivals; country clubs; private, corporate and fundraising events; radio and TV. In so doing, Tom has polished his craft to bring an extraordinary assortment of music to his shows.Ziad is a known saxophone instrumentalist in the Charlotte area. He has performed with numerous national acts, live and in the studio, including Soul Legend James Brown, Gospel icon John P. Kee, The Queen of Soul Aretha Franklin, Smooth Jazz Legend Grover Washington Jr. and many more. Ziad founded the band Mo' Money which performed regionally for many years. He released a smooth jazz CD nationally which received airplay across the U.S. as well. Currently he is performing in the corporate market with a trio and a duo. Ziad's versatile brand of instrumental performance can cater to any of your listening desires.
As a trio, Ziad is performing Smooth Jazz, R&B and Traditional Jazz with keyboards and drums for a full sound that can be geared to an upbeat higher energy performance or a lower volume laid back atmospheric experience. For a more unplugged trio sound the instrumentation is sax, piano and guitar. As a duo, sax and piano can provide a similar unplugged smooth sound. All of the above configurations can substitute a vocalist for drums or guitar if vocals are what you envision for your event. Lastly, Ziad can perform as a solo artist along with recorded tracks.
Ziad also performs as a duo consisting of acoustic guitar/vocal and saxophone with acoustic artist Rayen Belchere. Together they perform acoustic versions of
a variety of classic rock and popular songs with either a chilled out feel for background atmosphere or a more high energy attitude for brighter paced events.
